Answers: KISS - War Machine
Manson - Antichrist Superstar
Metallica - Enter Sandman

i love Stairway To Heaven on the Song Remains The Same but usually prefer studio versions.
The 1st live Kiss LP was amazing.

You mean live recorded versions vs the original studio versions? Yes.

A good band is always better live.

Nah,not really.I think it is better when it is in the Studio.
I dont like the noise the crowd makes and how the band/singer stops to let them sing
Im sure it would be cool if i were at the concert, but as for
listening to it on a cd or ipod..no..

ya, uh, er, sometimes the uh, n,n.n.n. Slither by u;h and slither by velvet uh, revol.e.v.er,,, .

Ted Nugent's great white buffalo on double live gonzo
Bob Seger's rambling man/beautiful loser on live bullet
Iron Maiden's hallowed be thy name on live after death

U2's "11 o'Clock Tick Tock" from '83.

I agree with the comment about Kiss Alive 1..all the songs sounded so much better than their first 3 albums. They are just songs meant to be heard in a concert I guess.

Judas Priest had a couple of "soft" tracks from their Turbo album namely the title track and Love Bites but when they played it live,,it was wicked!

We Will Rock You..of course it sounds better live because the audience will join in!

There are many songs that sound better live but there are also songs which doenst quite cut it when played live, due to the way it was recorded with countless takes and dubbings.
Strangely I cant think of any example right now! Go figure!

I Like Bleed It Out by Linkin Park better Live

The only one I can think of right now is "Vicious" by Lou Reed. The live version has a little more life, although I love the studio version as well.

Although, there's a live set from '76 on added as bonus tracks on the CD version of Leave Home by the Ramones, and the live '76 versions of "53rd & 3rd" "Judy Is A Punk" and "California Sun" all stood out to me. They all have more of a garagey feel to them, not that the songs on the Ramones first two LPs were overproduced by any means, but those live versions had this really rough, gritty, extra distorted texture that really make it sound so awesome. Plus I always thought they mixed the guitar a little too quiet on Ramones, although I do like being able to hear the bass.

"Fear of the Dark" by Iron Maiden
"Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd
"Do You Feel Like We Do" by Peter Frampton
