Better guitar Kerry hands down, James is pretty basic.
Better writer I haven't heard the new Metallica yet so I'm holding my vote on that one.
The fight would never happen. Kerry would look at James laugh and move on.
I'm not sure about a fist fight. Maybe Kerry King?
For rhythm, I enjoy Hetfield better. Kerry King has some fast riffs, but I don't really like that fast stuff. I guess Slayer is one of the only fast bands I can handle. But I prefer a slower, but still fast, guitarist, and that's Hetfield. Maybe Kerry King is the better guitarist technically. But I prefer Hetfield.
And I've never payed much attention to Slayer or their lyrics, but looking at the titles, it looks like Hetfield.
My opinion. I like Metallica better.

James Hetfield is absolutely superior in everything, a true genius and an excelent musician. I believe and feel every word he says and every note he plays.
Truthfully Kerry king is a terrible guitarist.

Better Lyric Writer: James Hetfield by far
I'd say Kerry King in all but the fight. James looks to have the reach and in a little bit better shape. But growing up in Downey and kicking it in Bellflower does not give him the experience though. It's little bit rougher in L.A. But throwing that edge out for Kerry for both getting soft over the years of pampering, I'd give it to James.
