Electric Guitars?!

Question: During performances, are there still cords that musicians have to plug into their guitars, or are they cordless? I was watching interviews on VH1 back from the eighties and the guy said he was glad now because he didn't have any cords. But I was wondering if they were still like that.

some use cords and some don't for larger venues most use cordless and for smaller they use actuall cables

All guitars still need some sort of device to connect them with their amplifier. Whether that is a cord, or a wireless device. Many musicians use wireless devices now. They still have to plug them into their guitar, but it's cordless.

If you are wandering if the guitar itself can transmit the signal wirelessly, the answer is no. No makers have built a wireless guitar yet.

Some use cords. Many, if not all major performers opt for a wireless transmitter to connect them with their amps/etc. because they provide greater mobility, no wires to trip over, etc.
