Anyone ever heard of johny winters, nothing but the blues?!

Question: do you like him?

Answers: do you like him?

Yeah, terrific album. 'Tired of Tryin' is a great album opener!
I'd recommend these albums too, as they're among my favorites:
Second Winter
Johnny Winter And...Live
Progressive Blues Experiment
Johnny Winter (self titled album)
Still Alive and Well
Saints & Sinners
Captured Live!

I'm a huge Johnny Winter fan. I've seen him in concert at least a dozen times since the early 1970's, most recently 1 year ago at a small community center where I live. I think it had a capacity of around 300 people. Our table was front row center, and it had to be the best show I'd seen in years! Johnny has such a unique picking style, and the experience of watching him strut his stuff at such close range is unfathomable, unless you were sitting there with me. I brought several album covers with me that night. At the end of the show I made a bee line towards his bus. I presumed that Johnny had already boarded, but apparently he hadn't. The driver opened the door, and I said, "hi, I was wondering if Johnny could sign a few of my albums?" He said "Johnny's not here yet, but climb aboard before a huge lineup of fans form". I eagerly hopped on board, and within a minute there was a line of at least 50 people. Then Johnny boarded the bus. He said, "hi, what did you think of the show?" I responded with, "It was fantastic!" Johnny then said to me, "you're the fella that caught my mike stand when it almost fell over aren' ya?" I laughed and said "yup"! You see, some drunk fool was standing right at the stage holding the base of the stand, and it fell over and I caught it!
Nevertheless, Johnny signed six of my albums that evening. I framed his 1969 self titled album. It looks so cool the way he signed his name directly across his forehead! Seeing Johnny at such a small venue was strange, because I recall a time when he would pack an arena or stadium with 15,000 people!
I own everything Johnny has ever recorded, and still have an original sealed copy of 'Second Winter'. It was released as a two record set, with only 3 sides! Quite collectible these days.

Though I'm not particularly familiar with that album, I love Johnny Winters, and have some killer video footage of him from between '71 and '79 I think. He's an incredible guitar player.
