Question: You do not like it when a rapper is fake and talks about things they did not do in real life. Yet, when a rapper is real, like Jay Z and puts out a cd like Kingdom Come, he was riddiculed until American Gangster. Did you expect him to come back in the game talking about crack after grossing a net worth of approx. 300 million? The only reason that album was so ridiculed is because it came out like three years after Black Album and people wanted the old Jay Z. Songs like Show Me What You Got, Lost Ones and Beach Chair are some of my all time favorites.

I want a real artist with releastic music and who is telling a life story and shares it with the rest of us. I want sum1 who is an inspiration and is rapping for a purpose. I don't care if he is super lyrical, that stuff is all good but what do you want to remebered for a good rapper or sum1 who changed the world.

I like Eminem, he speaks the truth in his songs, and Jay Z he's cool
But i don't like wannabe rappers that bring out stuff like
Yeah i was hangion with ma n****s and we wus smoki drugs and killing cops, and pimpin ho's
So, a lot of people masturbate in real life, but if they put out a CD singing or rapping about it, it's still gonna get a lot of ridicule. Although it's potentially possible that it will be an all-time favorite of some.

I can't speak for everyone, but I like to see an artist evolve. Jay -Z talking about hustling was cool because it was real for him, but like you say, the guy's seriously rich now and living a whole different lifestyle. It's natural in that position that your thoughts would become a bit more introverted and focused on family and relationships.
I thought Kingdom Come was a very good album - unlike Eminem who is still telling fart jokes 8 years later.
I enjoy watching an artist grow.

It doesn't have to be about real life to be good rap music. It can just be a representation of lifestyle or culture.
I think with Jay its just the fact that it seems like he has himself convinced that he is all the things he raps about.
Anyways Jay has been in the game for a while now and he has put out a lot of good **** so he gets respect for that. Kingdom come tho was horrible aside from beach chair and maybe one other one I don't even remember the song.
It wasn't bad because he wasn't really saying **** and his voice was annoying in EVERY SONG. It was just weird, ur jay z, we expected more than weak flows over ok beats.

I love Jay-Z he is so fine and i love his music all of it.I grew up on it but i like the American Gangster CD better than all of his Cd's.I dont know wy i just do.
