I think the best of the first waves of what is now called techno music started with "French Kiss" by Li'l Louis in 1989. Best club hit in the late 1980s. The original radio edit was 3 minutes, but the club mix ran as long as 10 minutes.
Other techno songs probably followed like that. Best one in the early 1990s was "Strike It Up" by Black Box, and "Everybody's Free" by Rozalla.
But Snap takes the cake with "I've Got The Power", and perhaps, her famous techno hit, "Rhythm Is A Dancer."
Go by Moby, its a classic.
