Having a little trouble with the guitar.?!
Question: Well not exactly a little trouble, a lot. The only trouble im having is this question on mind. It's kinda of complicated so its going to be hard to explain. Umm....When your playing the electric guitar and playing the notes, how exactly do you play them, you do mute other Strings to hear other notes right? Or do you just, i dunno, move them slightly? This may be a dumb question but i just cant understand that part in guitar videos. I can't find my amplifier piece so i cant hear if im playing any notes right. If any at all, I have these lessons on the computer, but im stuck one the first one because i don't no HOW to play the notes...If any of you understand what i mean please tell me how. I think i have another question but oh well....I just really want to play guitar.

Are you talking about single notes or chords ? I am not quite sure what you want to know yet.
If you are playing single notes then you only play that note and you should not have to mute the other strings ie. you ONLY pluck that note...not any other notes.
With chords, sometimes you have to mute a note but if you are a beginner then you should just be learning simple, easy open chords to start.
