Hate agaisnt slipknot? all metal/rock fans please answer?!
Question: just confused about a few things
how come theres an unusual amount of hate towards slipknot than any other metal group?
im not saying they shouldnt be hated..i just dont know WHY there hated by other metal fans
can sum1 explain?

There is alot of hate towards them because their lyrics are usually just obsenities and sometimes don't make sence..
People also hate slipknot because the band members only founded the band to make money, and use their actual musical talent in other bands.
Also slipknot doesn't have solos and are repetative with riffs, playing the same guitar riff through a whole song.
I like slipknot, these are just reason I have heard from alot of people who hate slipknot
i really dont know, ive heard some people say they dont like them because they have a dj and dj's are more rap than metal.
but idk i think they're ok.
they're annoying because they try too damn hard.
and also b/c their music gives you a serious headache after a while.
i don't know why, they just give off a wannabe vibe. and thrash can bug me if the band sucks.
my fave songs of theirs are vermilion pt. 1 and 2
There's a simple answer to this.
They're nu metal.
Alot of the people that say they hate Slipknot is because they are a platinum selling popular band.
They view Slipknot as sell outs and are jealous of the fact that band is bigger now than before, from when they started to listen to them...
I don't like them. I just can't get into their music. My brother likes them a lot, but whenever I hear a Slipknot song, I feel like it's been done before and done better.
They have extremely annoying fans, mostly 13-16 year old suburban kids who think that life is harder than it is.
That and they're just simply not fun to listen to. Most of them are talented musicians and their drummer is amazing. However, all of their songs sound the same and do not do anything creative, new, or interesting musically.
