Only some songs because they remind me of my grandpa.

Because it's REAL country, like conway twitty said you have to either have had loved more than anyone, lived more than anyone, or been hurt more than anyone to write a good country song. Everything about classic country is just amazing and it's real.

its wayyy better than rap. you can understand what they're singin and it makes sense. it paints a picture of long ago when your grandparents were growing up.

I like the deep voices, the instrumental arrangements and the beats. Steel guitar use was proper then and the simplicity, yet intelligence of the lyrics beat anything coming out of Nashville, Los Angeles, New York or Chicago today.

Only music that reaches the heart and soul of all of us.Rich poor, downtrodden, lifts spirits, relates to heartache, joy.happiness sadness, beginnings, endings,on and on.It is all,to all.Even those that say they don't like it.

Because it has substance. It has heart. It has soul. It has meaning.

The lyrics tell a story and the story is ALWAYS something that you can relate to. Someone has lived it before and someone is living it now. The music is absolutely unbelievable. Steel guitar. Fiddle. Dobro. God, it don't get no better than that!!!

You can feel Classic Country Music in your heart and in your soul. Anybody that disagrees with that doesn't have either. There is absolutely NO way that a person can listen to that type of music and say that it isn't genuine They may not like it for themselves but they do have to respect its pureness.

Cuz those heartripper, cry in your beer, gut wrenchers, of the 60's & 70's is what its all about, for me anyway. No one can do it like George Jones, Gene Watson, Conway Twitty, Red Sovine, Jack Greene, Charlie Rich,etc...

Probably becuase we older cowpokes can relate to it a lot better than whats being played on radio today. We grew up in the dance halls listening to Ray Price sing "Crazy Arms"...Willie Nelson sing "Blue eyes crying in the rain"...and even waltzed across Texas with Ernest Tubb. Todays music does not sound the same when you play it in a honky tonk or dance hall. There are no Fiddles, Pedal steels or Horns in the back ground playing anymore. All you have now a days is a bunch of people that can not sing, but yet with modern technology and a few strokes of the hand..."Presto!! you have Taylor Hickup's, Kellie Picklesworth, and a few others i will not mention at this time. But it's what the next generation is listening to.

what TEX AND OKIEFAN said. this new country sound just ain't gettin it for me..silly sreaming girls, stiff haired gay bands? i'll pass.
