Whats is the best band or artist of all time?!
Question: i would appreciate it if people were practical in their answers, for instance a band that came out earlier this year can not be the best of all time because such a title requires some lasting legacy that can only be proven with time.
My choice is bob dylan, because of the depth of his music, its simplicity, and his expansive catalog of amazing songs. also he is probably one of the more heavily covered artist of modern music outside of maybe the beatles, which serves to speak to the caliber of his work.

In the US, they started as a pop band, but once they got popular they were able to record some of the best music ever written. John Lennon and Paul McCartney are the best song writing team of all time. Almost all bands will say they were influenced by the Beatles. They covered all genres and wrote about everything. They endure more than any other band. They sung, they played, they wrote. It could be said that In my Life and Yesterday are two of the best songs ever written. They were true artists.
By the way I love Dylan also. He could be described as a genius in that he could convey such emotion in the most simple way.
