Ever done the whole Wizard of Oz and DSOTM thing?!
Question: I just did a little while ago. ive always wanted to. Has anyone ever watched Wizard of Oz and listened to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon at the same time? What are your thoughts on it all?

It fit pretty well, I always though it was a rumor until I did it.
I have, I wasn't impressed.
There were some parts that synced with the music (when the witch appears and the words "black black black...." are playing from us and them, when Dorthy is standing on the fence then falls during the lyrics "balanced on the biggest wave, race towards an early grave..." and the whole Great Gig scene) but most of it doean't sync. Like during Brain Damage, the scarecrow's on the yellow brick road, not the grass! I think someone just was really bored and were looking for connections that weren't there. maybe I'm being too exact but there are rarely any points where the movie and the album matche. People also said that The Wall and Alice in Wonderland were synced. It was a tad bit, but like The Dark Side of Oz (the name given for this sync) you have to look really hard for the connections.

I only did the first ten minutes, and the only part that hit me as a coincidence was when that one song (I think it was Time) started along with the bicycle coming in... but yeah, it's just a coincidence.
Yea it's pretty cool. But I dont think it was done on purpose (VHS came out 5 years after DSOTM) and unless they had access to the master print it was unlikely they purposely did it.
For a neater effect try syncing Pink Floyd's "Echoes" with the last 15 minutes of 2001 Space Odyssey
