If Hip Hop was actually REAL, would you still listen?!
Question: If Hip Hop contained no killings, minimal violence, and little of the other questionable matieral you "usually" hear in rap songs, would you still listen? Or do you think we're all ok with negative/fantasy Hip Hop?
PS. I know there are exceptions for certain people who have maybe actually experienced what they rap about. We're discussing the rest of them.

i don't think i would. It is very violent and cruel against certain people , including race fights, reliogiosness, etc. Its so heavy. makes my head be busy with sh** for teh rest of teh day.I better prefere instrumental jazz instead.

Yes because I dont listen to fack hip hop if I think you just forntin then I dont listen to that person, but every rapper I listen to keeps it real stop listening to the radio its that simple.

I think like everything that's entertainment (movies, TV, books), if it reflected real life exactly everyone would lose interest. No one wants to hear about the lives we're already living.

They are different. Even tho most ppl assume they are one in the same!
Rap has more of what ur referring too. Real hip hop is not about the violence and such. I dont wanna describe what I think HH consists of because it varies but I love it! Its more self serve boosting then bragging about the negative. JMO!
But Id love more music RAP without killing and bytches and violence in it.

Hip Hop is not only music ,its a culture a way of life
Hip Hop will never die ... there is still great MC's out there like Nas ,i.tech , many underground MC's
Most rap is disgusting...
Most rap teaches kids to steal, kill, rape...
And we wonder why society went down so bad? Because we let too many thugs brainwash kids these days.
If it were clean, sure I would listen to some of it. We need more rappers like Will Smith who keep it clean. I am so sick of the crime and the horrible images & messages rappers promote.
