What do you think about Jennifer Nettles' (Sugarland) voice?!
Question: I'm a huge fan of country music, but I personally hate her voice. It's wayyyyyyy too twangy; it has this fake-sounding accent. Everyone else seems to like her voice. Just want everyone's opinion...

I don't like it either. It's almost like it's something different than twangy.... more like a whining dying animal..

i get what u mean but there is somethin i like about it idk, but i did think her hair looked a little messy tonight
i dont love her voice but i think its ok. it does song really country though and at times it can be pretty annoying.

I love her voice and she's a nice person too.
I love the sound of her voice in her duet with John Bon-Jovi (Who says you can't go home). That's about it. I try to sit and listen to her music and you're right, kid-- too twangy.
I think she has a great thing going. She is always so happy and upbeat and that carries through in her songs.

She doesn't have a fake accent as she does her vocals as more of the soulful folk she was doing before joining the group Sugarland.
The duo can be a little too pop for me at times but at least I like her vocals a lot better than the very forced performance Lee Ann Rimes does in her latest song trying to be a siren in a musical...
it is very "nasally" which I really don't like, but technically, she is singing correctly and in tune, which I respect anyone that can do that! SHe just isn't necessarily the style of singer that I like to listen to!
To say the truth I don't really care too much about her or Sugarland, just can't get into their songs. But I am also a really big fan of country

I agree with you 100%!! she has the most "REHEARSED-STAGED" FAKE ACCENT I 'VE EVER HEARD!!! she drags every word TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH!!
She sounds more TWANGY then LORETTA LYNN and TAMMY WYNETTE COMBINED...and theirs were REAL!!!

I don't like it. It sounds like she is trying to sound too southern and it comes across as too twangy and it just doesn't sound right
I like her well enough... My opinion is that she's the sugar in sugar land....You can barely hear the other guy..just mostly her....
I really like it. It is something we country fans haven't heard. Which is why I think more people choose to say they don't like it, because they are afraid of change. It is very nasal but with an accent. She can carry a tune and hit the high notes, just in a different way than Martina, Faith, Carrie, and LeAnn.
I like it. Strong and powerful.
