Why is there no category for Heavy Metal?!

I agree...but at the same time...I'm glad it's on the underground. There have alwys been more UG bands in metal/punk than any pop or RnB. As far as rap acts, they come and go like a rainstorm. True metal acts never die.
Where will the game and 50 cent or even eminem be in 10 years? replaced by other acts that are just like them. before them was NWA, ll cool j and 3rd base (laugh if you want but at his time vanilla ice was the ****. eminem just learned to market his product better than ice was a one album prop) in ten years metallica will still be known as well as other timeless metal acts like slayer, megadeth, etc. only exception to the rap rule is snoop since snoop dogg goes all over music genre's. That's just my opinion though.

it is almost sad how popular rap is.
i was looking through a rolling stone magazine, and there is a top 50 list, and i had to go through 42 of them to find a song i even liked a little (I.E. one that is not rap/ r & b)
