Harmonicas?!

Question: 'm thinking about investing in a harmonica. I have never played before but have always wanted to learn. What is the best kind for a beginner? How much will it cost? I don't want to spend a lot of money just in case I don't like it. Are they easy to play? Do they get frustrating? and is there such a thing as a jazz harmonic?
Please help!

harmonica is a pretty versital instrument, it could probly definatly be used in jazz. the best kind would be a hohner in the key of A or G, it's going to cost around $20. you might want to get a book to, they're easier than some instruments but it can get a little frustrating at times

A hohner echo vamper,I don't work for them but Read Franklin and Heywood sell them not sure of the prices these days -£16 to £18 maybe but you will not get a better blues harp than this. You would need to tell the guy in the shop who you like listening to and he or another assistant may know the key you need.Nothing is easy to play just keep practicing put an album on(cd)and play with the guy most of the blues players could'nt write it but they can play, tutor yourself off albums but work at it .....sgd
