One of my friends thought it could possibly be an old Carpenters song, but I have looked for it and can't find it yet for them. I think it is a male sing, but it is not the Phil Collins song.

The lyrics could also be "Why don't people stay in love anymore?"

I think it is only at the beginning of the song or this line is sampled from a previously released song in this particular song.
