I believe that The caveman is correct. Big Bill Lister sounded quite a lot like Hank and they did some co-writing together. It was Big Bill who had located "There's A Tear In My Beer" and passed it on to Hank Jr. who then added his own vocals to it and released it. My brother once told me that often Big Bill stood in for Hank when he was "under the weather" but I don't know where he got that information from.
