Good Songs Under 3 Minutes ?!
Question: Some talent show thingy is coming at my school, the maximum time of your act is 3 minutes. I play lots of guitar and I am very good at it, anyone know of any good songs under 3 mins I could do for it ? I don't care if there is no solo...
I listen to alot of Black Sabbath, Pantera, Dope, In Flames, Ozzy Osbourne, AFI, AC/DC, Bad Religion, Godsmack, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Faber Drive... Anything like that ? No country though I don't like it and no one else does that I know. Thank you

You should play something by Queen. Their songs range from like....1 minute and a half to about 8 minutes. They're amazing, and their guitarist Brian May is considered a virtuoso at guitar (meaning that he is absolutely amazing), so he has some really cool solos! One of his coolest ones is in The Invisible Man, and another cool one is in Breakthru. Although, I don't think thats what you're looking for, because not many people can capture Queen's essence and therefore, just make fools of themselves.
The Beatles have a lot of shorter songs, but thats not exactly rock out music, even though it is amazing.
You could try something well known thats fairly simple like Back in Black by AC/DC, my favorite song by them is actually Hells Bells, but I don't think that would work....
Why don't you do Paranoid, or Crazy Train?
All grindcore songs are under 3 minutes long. Some are less than one minute.

Do a harder rockin' version of Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine". The original is 2:11.
The Firm's "Radioactive" is 2:37, with Jimmy Page.
Ramjam's "Black Betty" is under three minutes with the single edit version.
Joe Jackson's version of Peter Green's "Oh Well" (Fleetwood Mac) is just over two minutes, and if you haven't heard that version it rocks hard.
Robin Trower's "Bridge Of Sighs" is very short if you don't do the long ending.
Why don't you pick whatever song you feel you play best, and like the most. Then do your own arrangement of it, to get it to 3 mins.
