ok fianlly one i can get my teeth into...yaaaaay,i have been playing for 38 years now...yes im that old...lol and the questions should be who are the best drummers as i believe you cant narrow it down to just one guy. that said my faves of all time are ...in no particular order
neil pert -rush
carl palmer- emerson lake and palmer
jeff pocorraro - toto
ringo star-the beatles
bun e carlos-cheap trick
phil ehardt-kansas
sib hasian-boston
john bonham-led zep
john ponazzo-styx
ian pace-deep purple
nick mason -pink floyd
and the list can go on forever,i myself have played with several notable bands including,pat benetar,heart,blue oyster cult...and can tell you if you have not heard of any of theese fine gentlemen i urge you to check them out especially if you are learning to play..take something from each one of the styles you will hear on thier recordings and lear to play it.then blend in your own style..theneed for good quality drummers is great anybody and beat a drum but not everybody can keep a precise rythem going and not rush or drag the beat..this takes time and lots of practice...good luck keep on drummiong and rock and roll forever...steve r..also known as redrockindevil......
