What do you admire most about My Chemical Romance?!

their songs actually hav a purpose, ther not just words put 2gether 2 sound good. look at helena, that was in honor of gerard and mikeys grandma who was gees inspiration.....i admire that they hav overcome so much....look at gerard, he's overcome drug abuse, stalking cristina ricci, and drinking. he has also overcome depression twice and has 2 c a therapist wen not on tour, but that doesnt matter....i admire that they r not in it 4 fame and fortune. they r a band cuz aftr gerard witnessed 9/11 he felt he needed 2 do sumthin with his life and he formed the band (their first songs is skylines and turnstiles based on 9/11.) i admire that they actually care about their fans...like wen gerard or any band member c's a fan cut themself or hurt themself they feel responsible wen their not. i dont kno any othr band/singer like that....i admire that they hav lives othr than fame and their not pressured by the media. i also like how their songs wer so emotional, so truthful, that they overcame all those things, cuz since they did that, it made me feel that i could save my life 2. if it wernt 4 MCR i'd b dead, but that is y i admire MCR, and wut i hav written means nuthing. no words could express this great band.....KUDOS MCR! <3333333
They've quit the hard partying. I admit that is very admirable, considering they all used to be crazy drunks. And Gerard has a healthy looking body, as opposed to his "not so healthy" body from back in the day.
they just really great...they have great music and they are hott
i just think that they are great only because they really cleaned up and because 9/11 was actually an insperation to them. another reason is because they care.....many ppl don't realize that but they actually do

i was reading a blog by this girl on buzznet,who said that when she was at an MCR concert she fell over and hurt her arm.She said that Mikey saw her and he kept an eye on her until she got up and was ok. ^_______^
oh and how they take all the crap from the haters.if i was in a band that gets as much hate as them i'd be really upset, but they never seem to let it get to them.awesome >.<
Their ability to brainwash almost an entire generation.
Their determination to make music, despite all the haters out there.the fact that Gerard is sober and no longer getting drunk before a show. their dedication to their fans. There is just so much I admire about this band that i could go on forever.
Nice question, but I think what you should've asked is what do you NOT admire about them, I mean I can't think of a single thing I dislike about them, they are all wonderful people who have saved millions and given them hope.

THAT they have overcome so much. they care for their fans, they write their own music and beats, that they try to send out a good message and be good role models, they dont listen to the haters, they don't change for anyone, they are extremely dedicated to music.(i heard they havent taken a break since they formed the band back in 2001) their lyrics are inspirational. they are really a great band. that they have impacted so many lives.
i admire how they formed the band right after 9/11, it kind of influenced them to form. i really love their style

THE FACT I SEE THEM IN TWO DAYS!
and they're keeping the tour going even tho there's only three of them
And the way they're amazing and they write beautiiful songs that are perfect for describing the way you feel sometimes and the way they save lives

OH YES... I love how they're all grounded and down to earth, they havent let fame completely change them, cos you vant say it hasnt changed them at all, because obviously it has. As in they have to sneak around if they dont want molested by fans, and they have to be secretive about things that cant really get out. I love how they deal with their fans too. They're so friggin nice ALL the time. Not only when it suits.
They also say the most amazing things. Seriously, they give out the best advice. and they always say things that make you feel like they know what you go through. Well, they obviously do, but its the way they'll admit they had hard times in their teenage years and its ok to be a little messed up cos of it. They're great examples of how Misfits in highschool/life can turn out really well and how you can acheive your dreams!
And theres the added bonus that they're all quite tasty too! Heehee... That sounded fan girlish but even my male friends who are straight agree so I can say it. I wouldnt care if they were all ugly as, its the music that got me interested first!

My Chemical Romance is all around amazing.
But the thing I think I like the most from them [two things, that's not cheating, is it?] are...
A. Their stage presence. Anyone that's been to any of their concerts knows Gerard has the crowd eating from his hand, and he loves his fans with a passion. MCR manages to capture the one emotion that is indescribable. The closest thing I can think of that would describe it would have to be ecstasy.
B. Their meaning. A lot of people that don't know the band at all call them sell outs. I think the exact opposite. If they cared at all about the money, they would have sounded like pop-punk. Their songs would have been happy and carefree. There's no point to music like that.
MCR was created to bless those that need it. Whoever doesn't agree, I'm sorry you're blind, deaf, and dumb in my eyes.
I see MCR as an outlet to connect with people you wouldn't otherwise connect with.
I admire the fact that we can relate to them. They said themselves that they were messed up. i know I ain't perfect.
And they are so devoted to their music, it is awesome
that they have such good talent and they use it. Some people can not respect that but I admire all that is MCR.

I love my chemical romance and the fact that they don't care about sh*t from people like Manson and haters. They just love the fans they have and keep going. That and they save lives with their music since it saved them.
Their music just hits a deep spot in me that not many things can reach.
And definately I love how their lyrics tell stories.
I'm going to say their strong will to help others.
They are very talented, but to use all that talent to bring a message and save kids lives is unbelieveable.
