Guitar trouble!!! What can I do?!
Question: I tried to tune it up, and just screwed it up! It sounds so awful. I have no idea how to tune.. what can I do? I've heard of those electronic tuners, but what do they do? Do they tell me what
to tune it at? Do they plug into the guitars? Plz give me info.. ?

Tuners look at the frequency at which the string is at they can plug in to your guitar unless of course it is acoustic which it doesnt have to plug into. They start at around twenty bucks or so. And if your guitar isn't out of tune too bad you can learn the way of old by tuning by ear the way you do that is by holding down the fifth fret on the top string and try to match the sound of the string below it to that same pitch when you get those synched up you hold down the fifth fret on the string you just tuned and match the next string and you keep doing that all the way down and voila it's tuned! but that takes practice.

You bascially NEED a tuner because very few people have such a perfect ear that they can do it themselves. Tuners are cheap and you can pick them up at any guitar store.
get it to an expert dont spoil tryin to repair by urself ..
the tuner i have is you play the cord and it tells u how off it is and i just keep adjusting till its prefect
i you really have passion in music then you have to be patient on learning those things good musician can tune their instruments by themselves to be a good one you have to learn it.

I did that the firrst time i tuned it. If you dont want to spend money on a tuner, take it in to a guitar shop and ask them to tune it for you.
What tuners do is that they usually have 3 lights, One lights up to show that its to low, and one to light up if its to high, the other one is to tell you its just right. You can go to www.zzounds.com its a great store, you can buy anything that has to do with guitar/drums. They arent that much, a cheap one usually gets the job done. Hope this helped.
Ps: how you use it, put it next to the string and play one string. the lights will glow and you do this for every string. Once you get halfway on the strings, move the tuner to the other side and keep going.
electic tuners plug into your guitar and they tell you the note the string is making. then you twist the knob unto the correct note shows up for each string
Ex- on the first string (E) twist the first knob higher or lower until the tunner says it is making an E
the strings are (from top to bottom) E,a,d,g,b,e
you really need to just get a guitar tuner. they are not expensive maybe like 5-15 dollars if you want a cheap one. any music store will have them. you can try to tune to a piano, but that can be tricky (and you have to have a piano). and it is very tricky to tune by ear, so just get a tunner.
mm i had the same problem then i slammed my guitar on the floor from frustration
buy guitar hero 3 tats a way cooler guitar and u dont need to tune it
