Pink Floyd fans...What is the most under appreciated PF studio album?!

Question: Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall are out of the question.

I think it is "The Final Cut"...even though it was written and recorded when Waters and Gilmour were at their wits end with one another.

Ummagumma - 1969. Double-album, now available on CD. Album #1 was recorded LIVE at Mothers, Birmingham and Manchester College of Commerce - June 1969. First song was the only song on the album written by Syd Barrett, called Astronomy Domine. The rest of both albums were written by Wright, Waters, Mason and Gilmour.--Album #2 was recorded in a studio. This was the transistion of gently phasing Syd Barrett out of Pink Floyd because he was slowly going insane as a result of overuse of LSD and other halucinagenics. The LIVE stuff are structured songs while the STUDIO cuts are pure, brilliant experimentation with early "studio tricks" and seque into very mellow, pleasant sounding acoustic songs. Next to Dark Side of the Moon its my favorite Pink Floyd album. The albums artwork was absolute genius.

Well, I could add Meddle or almost any album except the first two that you mentioned.

Any one with Sid Barrett.

Division Bell is a fine album but most folk don't give it a mention -just like you!!

Atom Heart Mother (which is one of my favorite albums) and Obscured By Clouds. Obscured By Clouds was amazing and extremely melodic but often overlooked.
Both albums have songs that are extremely melodic and pretty experimental. Atom Heart Mother Suite was an epic and Mudmen was simply haunting.

Piper at the Gates (of Dawn)..........

I go with Thinker, so Division Bell

I like "Meddle"...'Echoes' was great to listen to in the early hours..

Animals. Fantastic album.

I would go with Meddle. It has some great Floyd songs and a strange song about a dog on it as well.

animals

my favorite album, it's so underrated.

Meddle

The Division Bell

Meddle and that guy that said meddle kinda looks like me, scary!

I Agree With Final Cut, It's Good But Never Gets Played.
