Can you explain the meaning of the lyrics from Clocks by Coldplay?!
Question: Lyrics: Clocks - Coldplay
The lights go out and I can't be saved
Tides that I tried to swim against
Have brought me down upon my knees
Oh I beg, I beg and plead singing
Come out of things unsaid
Shoot an apple off my head and a
Trouble that cant be named
A tiger's waiting to be tamed singing
You are
You are
Confusion never stops
Closing walls and ticking clocks
Gonna come back and take you home
I could not stop that you now know singing
Come out upon my seas,
Cursed missed opportunities
Am I a part of the cure
Or am I part of the disease, singing
You are, you are, you are
You are, you are, you are
And nothing else compares
And nothing else compares
And nothing else compares
You are
You are
Home, home where I wanted to go
Home, home where I wanted to go
Home, home where I wanted to go
Home, home where I wanted to go

A random guess only.... a young persons rebellion in part against the way society is the swimming against the tide...the risks taken and the failure that came...ending up wondering if he is part of the problem. Walls and clocks are poetically items the set boundries and limitations and when they r closing in or ticking away that means time that is passing by fast, a persons chances r fading. Often in youth we try so hard to defy authority like our parents, only to find we get taken home to where we r from in the 1st place or end up very much like our parents anyways....only to figure out home is where our heart was all the time, we just didn't know it, hence the lyric...Home, home where I wanted to go.Don't know how close Iam but I think Iam in the ball park here.
