RYMAN AUDITORIUM=has the ryman ever been REMODEL, or does it still have the ORIG!
Question: The answer to both is yes. It has been remodeled; however, the pews that were in the auditorium during the Grand Ole Opry run are still there. I was just in the Ryman a couple of weeks ago for the Americana Music Association convention, and the place where I saw the Opry as a child still has its charm.
BTW, it is open for tours during the daytime. I highly recommend a tour. Unless they have changed things, they let you go onstage and lead you in a chorus of "You Are My Sunshine," so you can rightfully tell everyone you sang on stage at the Ryman!

It has been restored. It is sooooo beautiful inside and with the restoration you can see why it is called 'The Mother Church of Country Music'. It's not been that long since it was restored - early 90's.
