They are out dated!!
Everything before the Black album is great,some of the Black album is good that is'nt played out,and even a few songs after are ok like"King Nothing",but how can you not like them dude they're legends and they pretty much picked up where Sabbath left off,along with Slayer of course,they are one of the best ever
I try to like them but they just dont have that thing that i like in music. and the singer harly ever sings in the album ive got he just plays the guitar i think for like 3 mins before he sings!
I don't like anything since the black album. I wish they would go back to the Master of Puppets/ ride the lightning style.
I love Metallica.
They were one of the first metal bands i truly got into.
Perhaps they're not so great now that they've "sold out", but their true brilliance shown in Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightening etc. shall never die.

Well, if you don't want to like Metallica you don't have to! I have a friend, which is a TRUE rocker, and when I say true I mean that he has big hair and knows almost all the rock bands, and he doesen't likes Metallica.
I like rock music too, and it's the only music I listen to. But I like Metallica. I like almost ALL the rock bands. Metallica`s best song (for me) is "The Unnamed feeling". Although... there are many best songs...
So there are peoples that likes rock music more 'cruel'. There is Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth... and many like that.
For me, Metallica is my 'primary' band.
My son doesnt. I do, his dad does, his other brother does. But he likes Kanye West and Akon. How did this child come from me?

As far as I can tell, all their songs pretty much sound alike.
With that said, I will say that they're good at what they do. They're just not for me.
