I have no desire to top it, even if I could...as I am compelled to share a random memory with you:
When I was very young, my father used to play that song on his guitar, and I'd sing along...
I had a plastic rope with some brightly-colored plastic bells on it. This was my ding-a-ling, and I would dance around in circles waving it through the air...telling any friends of my parents who stopped by that I had a ding-a-ling, and showing it to them with great pride.
I hadn't thought of the song in years...I hadn't heard it (or even heard it mentioned) since I was probably three or four. At 20, I was walking through a parking lot and someone had it on an oldies station...and I almost died laughing as everything flooded back into my mind. I immediately pulled out the cell and called my parents...
Makes me wonder what ridiculous things my own child(ren) will have to endure for my own amusement, if I should ever go about having them. *laughs*
