The so-called real country music you are talking about is not why country music has become a huge success around the world. We don't pay to see George strait and willie nelson.
You owe agreat deal of thanks to artists like Rascal Flatts, Big & Rich, Kid rock & Bosephus, Kellie Pickler, Cowboy Troy and other new artists for saving this dying music genre.
huckelberryjoe - country got saved a long time ago by a fella named Garth Brooks in the 90's and has since seen much resurgence and record sales.
Otherwise, I don't care what you call "real" country music, but Willie Nelson is my favorite.
