Does anyone remember the country / folk artist John Denver?!

Question: Yes. I remember him. Met him a few times, as a matter of fact.

He was born John Deutchendorf, and worked with the Chad Mitchell trio.

He used to play a place in the Philly Suburbs called The Main Point, before he became popular.

One of his most popular songs, Take me Home, Country Roads, was not written by solely by him, but also by Bill Danoff and Taffy Nivert.

He died in a plane crash ten years ago today.
