Musician, not at all. I do find him to be the greatest lyricist of all time however. Dylan has the ability to write a scene that one can actually envision and interpret within their head, a task that only a few artists are able to do.
He's really good....but best of all time..........probably not.

Paul McCartney and David Bowie played more instruments than he did, and very well. Neil Young always has a harmonica in his mouth and a guitar in his hands when on stage.
Elvis Aaron Presley is unquestionably the greatest artist of all time. Dylan is a great songwriter, but that's all, he lacks everything else, so he's very far from being the greatest. I can't deny his impact on music though.
he changed the way we listened to music. His lyrics had a lot to do with with the 60s movement. He is an icon, but not in the top 10 greatest artists of all time.

Bob Dylan rose to our consciousness through his lyrics and messages. He has been called the Poet of Our Generation in the past, but never anything close to your assertions, and for good reason.
Definately NOT - he is a crap musician and his lyrics are 2 dimensional - poetry my **** ! ordinary uninteresting lyrics only admired by ordinary uninteresting people... but the world is full of them, so many say he is good... public opinion is as good as no opinion at all.. probably worse.
