Question: I read somewhere that he has them made in St. Joseph, Mo by Stetson, i know this cause i tried for years to get one for myself but no dice i was told.

I don't know where he gets them shaped but I do like the rough edge that is seen in every one of them. Maybe he shapes them himself.


On Edit: I had heard that the first hats he really liked was from the movie W.W. And The Dance Kings and that it was made especially for him for the movie. Maybe he just liked it so well he stuck with them. Great question as well

That's how I was always able to recognize him! I thought they gave him character and a certain flair! Wish I knew, but I don't know where he bought them.

Stetson Hat Co. of St Joseph Missiouri has fashioned replicas of hats for Don ever since the original.
The original came from the movies, first given to williams by the people at 20th Century Fox when he was filming W.W. and the Dixie Dance Kings.

Where we live it is impossible to get an authentic looking western hat for women(or men)I wish I could afford one of those hats.
My son is going to get me one in Texas.
