I couldn't care less if she serenades Barney. But Avril sang country songs at home prior to becoming famous. The whole skater/bad girl image sells more than little miss country.

Never did like her. Always thought and still do that she can't sing her way out a wet paper bag and her music is horrible. What gets me is the number of people who swear she is the greatest punk singer of all time. Message to those people she IS NOT PUNK!!!
I always hated Avril. She is an annoying, ugly, poser who is not in the least bit PUNK!!!!! it really bugs me that she tries to be too. Her music sucks and she tries way too hard--shes a fake... :)

true. i used to loveee avril lavigne like fall to pieces got to me. it was an amazing song. and pretty much all of her songs were great. but ever since "girlfriend" came out, she makes me wanna kill myself. i couldnt believe that a girl that used to sing amazing songs turned into a girl that sings pop crap. i mean ugh. why would she wanna remake her song with Lil Mama? is that her name? idk. i would have to say that after "girlfriend" came out, she lost lots of fans.
She's just reinventing herself like every other pop singer. Her songs give me such a headache... 'Girlfriend' is the worst of all, a three year old could write a song with more substance.

she is good product to sell and that is the most important think in the music industry today not the music what about all the other crap that's out there today does any one really have any talent other then a very small handful of people.
I have never been a fan of her but at first I liked that she was at least doing something different from other female singers that are so popular. But then I heard her singing live on MTV, and that was pretty bad. Actually that was really bad. Now she is at least usual pop chick and doesn't hide it.
