What's your opinion on the Raekwon vs. Rza issue?!

Question: Raekwon recently went public voicing his concerns with the Wu-tang Clan album 8 diagrams scheduled for release early December.

Raekwon (along with the other Wu members) claim to not like Rza's new sound that is directing the new album. Rae described it as "too much guitar sh*t" and called Rza a "hip hop hippie"

When Rae confronted Rza with this opinion, he was told "I'm the Rza, just trust me" and changes to the new sound of the album were refused.

Rae says the album is finished and if it is released as is, the remaining members are prepared to release an album in response to it called "Shaolin vs. Wutang".

I've heard parts of the mixtape thats available for free on www.loud.com Rae's claims of guitars and hip hop hippieNESS are clear in the mixtape with Beatles samples and ODB singing "Don't go Breakin my Heart" w/ MACY GRAY?! A lot of the songs on the mixtape are remixes but there ARE some good ones on there like Life Changes, an ODB tribute, & Thug World.

Thoughts?

I actually agree with Rae....I think that RZa should go back to that cold, hard WU feel..but seriously...U-God is mad, Ghost is mad, RZA and Rae are mad, ODB is dead....who isn't right now? the WU may fall apart soon

My dude from the gravediggers had the same experience with rza, more so about money. The wu is a whole, if majority is not feelig it than rza needs to scrap it and build from jump so everybody can be on the same page.

its sad, this album was supposed to be them unifying one last time and go out with a bang. now with all this mess they are gonna go out worse than before. rza has fallen off but he still puts out dope sh** just listen to that afro samurai soundtrack. but he is def not his late 90s self. and it sounds like theres lots of money problems. thats what ghost and rae are always talking about and why ghost scheduled his cd the same day as the wu cd. i think the wu cd has changed dates since then tho
