Young Teen Girls! What is your favorite music?!
Question: I bought an MP4 for my 9 yr old daughter for Christmas and need to fill it with music that she would like (but that I can stomach).
She is oblivious to the words in the songs... But I don't enjoy having my hair stand on end listening to the words as she is bouncing around to the beat.
She likes all types of music as long as it makes her want move.
Thanks!

I'm 14 and I really like Boys Like Girls (and so does every teenage girl). Jonas Brothers are probably the most popular guy band for her age. She might like Britney Spears's new album, Blackout. britany spears
For a nine year old... probably Hannah Montana or any other Disney singers!
hannah montana, the cheetah girls, the high school musical crew, and aly&aj are favorites for 8-12 year olds. also, they are disney bands, so they dont have foul language.
Disney like Hannah Montanna. Im 14 yrs old and have all her songs on my ipod:)
id put on hillary duff
cascada
soulja boy(just kidding)
just ask her what music she likes!
ohh and hannah monatana!

1) Beyonce
2) Hellogoodbye
3) Cassada
why dont you go on mtv website and look at the stuff on there.
well im 16 so i dont think you want your daughter listening to some of the stuff i have on my ipod. most of it has parental advisorys. but some nice bands that i have (no curses or any thing) are yellowcard, simple plan and the beach boys. and disney bands are great for her age
Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's -- It's a love song, but PG.
M2M is a great girl band. They talk about chasing your dreams and never giving up, something that my mom made me listen to as a kid, but I never realized the motto it was trying to speak to me.
Some religious songs might be nice, but don't overcrowd her MP3 with it.
I hope this helps. And good choice, an MP3 is always a great gift for a kid.
well i like rock,emo,hardcore,and screamo...haha.
but what I reccomend for your daughter would definantly be what is on radio disney...EXP:Jonas Brothers,Hannah Montanna,Vanessa Ann Hudgens,Aly&Aj...ect.all fun,kid friendly, and she will be able to dance to.
PS:::Hip hop is not what a nine year old should be listening to.It is garbage that only talks about sex, drugs, money, girls, and living in the Ghetto.
Download any songs that play on the radio right now, they have a nice beat :]
i like the song apologize by one republic and timbaland
also welcome to the jungle
and when you were young by the killers
big girls dont cry by fergie
i dont want to be in love by good charlotte
im 15 and if you listen to kiss 95.7 and 101.3 on the radio there will be a lot more.
i listen to those stations and some a pretty good for your daughter but some arent. the ones i listed are okay-- but check them out on youtube.com
Colbie Caillat is a really good singer. She doesn't have any swears in her music either.
Also, Carrie Underwood,
Alicia Keys,
Miley Cyrus**,
Hannah Montana**,
Rihanna,
Jonas Brothers,
Vannessa Hudgens,
Aly and Aj,
High School Musical 1 and 2,
Ashley Tisdale.
I hope I helped you. =)
**Please note that although Miley Cyrus plays Hannah Montana on the show Hannah Montana, she also has her own songs that are not on the show.

jonas brothers
Well I just turned 13 and I listen to Evanescence (goth Christian rock...don't worry it's christian so there's no cursing or cutting or anything, just heavy metal chords)
good charlotte (alternative rock that's fun to jump up and down to....I recommend the songs, the anthem, dance floor anthem, lifestyles of the rich and famous, the river)
avril lavigne (be careful though because she curses in a couple songs, words like **** and crap)
Sean Kingston (kinda islandy. very fun to sing to. I like Beautiful Girls and Me Love).
but those are just songs I like. For a nine year old:
Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus (good old fun girl power! great beats and fantastic voice)
cheetah girls (fun to dance to but I'm not a real hudge fan).
Hilary Duff (not a great voice but good beats and good messages in her earlier songs)
ALY AND AJ (get aly and aj! They're first CD, into the rush, has a really good message in every song but their last CD, Insomniatic, is all love songs although it's easier to dance to).
Jonas Brothers (they're 3 cute bros with awesome pop/rock style music. Personally, my favorite pop band. really fun to ance to and sing the lyrics).
That's all I can think of. I hope she has lots of fun!
Hannah Montana, aly&aj, green day- yes, i know that they used a little bad language, bt they r wat real music is rite now-high skool musical soundtrack- both of them-and stuff on radio Disney... im srry, but y dont u ask ur kid what she likes..and let her filled her mp4- i thought it went up to mp3, bt wateva-up.. u cant decide wat she wants 2 listen to.. just give it to her and let her decide
My 12 year old thinks barbie is for baby's.she also thinks high school musical is g-a-y.My dauter likes Hannah Montana show and only some songs.I let her listen to what she wants but if I dis like anny thing she will not listen to it.
