The melody on Crank That is catchy. I do not like all of the lyrics in the song or in many hip hop songs for that matter. We need more intelligent and positive rap in today's music. But I guess that is not what sells. Another comment about Soulja Boy. Crank That would be better if it were only 2 minutes long. After a while, the repetition becomes annoying unless you're a sixth grader.

tell me, what are his songs about? trying to get rich, get high, and get laid? what is the point of it? its just a bunch of words put together, with profanity thrown in here and there, with a annoying beat slapped on it and mass produced to a population who does not know better.
seriously, turn off mtv, and listen to some real music. and take a grammar class too, while youre at it. you may think youre 'grown up and mature', but trust me, youre no where near that.
