What is the hardest a phd or being a classical pianist or violionist?!

Question: what kind of phd? that's important.

any phd would give you way more job security than a career as a classical pianist or violinist could. the field of classical music is extremely competitive, and piano and violin are the two instruments that everybody plays, thus the most competitive. in other words, you're not going to make a living off of classical piano or violin performance unless you are absolutely, unequivocally brilliant.

definitely you would need to narrow your
paramaters

The classical musician because they start learning when they are about 5 years old. A lot more work goes into being a classical pianist or violinist.......much more.

I think with some extra hard work almost anyone can get their PHD

But to be a classical pianist or violinist takes a different kind of thinking

A "classical" pianist or violinist can get a PhD, in their instrument or in another field. Hell, I know a "classically" trained pianist who got his masters in music performance/chemistry (double major) and is now in med school.

It just depends on the subject and the person.
