Answers: I keep on hearing that hip hop is dead and that most people cant listen to real music anymore. What is real music? I dont understand...

I don't think it's dead...

It's just that a lot of people now are listening to

commercial rap....which is all about

"Get money, shake your @ss & crank that" subjects.

they don't listen to the lyrics anymore......

it's sad... :(

Because it's wiggity, wiggity, wiggity WHACK!

like, if u compare songs from back like in tha 90's and ****, to now, u'll hear tha difference. they think rap changed but i mean, u gotta move on so it can advance. but regardless, i say hip hop iz alive as long as Weezy iz around

The songs in the early 90's were hip hop. Now it just people talking about their cars and chicks they do. The original hip hop had passion, meaning, and a message.

get off lil waynes dick, this shyt is sickening...hip hop is alive, not because of one rapper, but because of a correlation of artists and ordinary people keeping the culture alive...

hahaha please dont listen to that girl that just said that Wayne is hip hop.. she is clearly a soulja boy fan!!!! mrs soulja girls...

i shall proceed... well hip hop aint dead dead.. but, it is coming to a haul!!!! you feel me... too much fakeness in music now. too many people not loving hip hop making music.. t-pain..wack!.. akon.. wack, soulja boy wack!, wayne fake!. and if you think about it.. these are the guys that are socalled... hip hop representers!!!!! you know what i mean?..so no matter how ignorant you think the people are when it comes to music..... people reflec and see whats going on.. lets look at record sales ... youfeel me?... so yeah hip hop aint dead but its more like on life support... everytime soulja boy is played or anything from the south with their crank crap.. hip hops heart rate drops and drops... its horrible.. i dont even know why we are even paying attention to crapy music!!!!

many people think that hip hop is dead because of the lack of originality that is being produced these days, most rap songs now are just a simple hook that gets dragged through the song and is to over emphisized, as for the other question its really up to you what real music is, dont worry about what others if you think its good then dont care what others think

Look at the type of music being put out - all these bullsh** songs buy whack artist - Real music is common, talib, old jay z material, etc...

**** i heard wut dat grl said..hiphop iz not dead..we got
weezy..cassidy... lil mama ..idk who else..lol

Now rappers only talk about money, hoes, and rims. People who listen to Lil' Wayne are spitting on Tupac's and Biggie"s graves.

Hip-Hop is not dead its thriving and anyone who says different is delusional. There is wide range of styles to choose from if hip-hop is dead to you then your proffered preference is probably not in right now.Money, Hoes, and Drugs hmmmm that sounds like gangsta rap of the early 90s. The style of rap that is "in" right now is crunk and or snap southern( Keep in mind this is not the only style of southern rap) style of rap, which is basically club hits. If you are looking for meaning or some enlightening verse you wont find it because it is tracks meant for the clubs. If you expected to gain insight about sodium and potassium from shake it like salt shaker you are retarded.

dats a lie hip-hop an crunk aint dead

hip hop is def. NOT dead, ppl just think that because they define hip hop by what they hear on the radio. they think hip hop and they think 'black gangsta with nothin else to say but guns, bling and ho's' but there is SO much more depth to hip hop when you explore.
if you wanna hear 'real' hip hop, listen to what's underground and what's not being played on the radio. think, atmosphere, brother ali, cunninlynguists, non prophets, sage francis, boot camp clik, grayskul, buck 65, visionaries, aesop rock, dilated peoples, el-p, ugly duckling, soul position and there is just SO MUCH MORE. underground hip hop it's a world in and of itself, if you listen to this music you will branch out to so many other incredible hip hop artists and i promise you, once you really listen to these beats and the lyrics you will know once and for all that hip hop is NOT dead it's just UNDERGROUND, six feet deep from the creek
(boot camp click)
enjoi.

cuz the ppl out today dont put no thought into there lyrics they sooo fuckn corny and cheesy its horrible!!!! all they talk about is dancen and patron!!!! down south **** is wack!!!1

Hip hop is not dead. However, the portrayal most people have of hip-hop is simply the pathetic sh*t that's played on the radio. This music has no message and is complete garbage. Thus, people say Hip Hop is dead.

Most people have not heard much Nas, Immortal Technique, Cyne, Tech N9ne etc.

Because hip-hop now boils down to either materialism, mediocrity, and "baby girl lyrics. A simpler way to say it is:

"OH LOOK AT ME, I HAVE A HUGE ******* PLATINUM NECKLACE ON AND BITCHES SWARMING ME"

hip hop is dead because whack @ss artists like soulja boy killed it

Look honey, forget what everybody else says

:: Lil Wayne is Hip Hop, and he is not Dead ::
