Classic Country Music Fans--How do you decide??!

Question: When you see the answers that others have given what is it that causes you to give that person a thumbs down? Is it because you dislike the person or you dislike their answer. Is it because you just do it no matter the answer? What would cause you to give them a thumbs up? Is it because the answer is the first one or the best one or because you like that person?

I ONLY give thumbs UP.....unless, THE REEETARD IS BEING MEAN, RUD, COMING OVER FROM ANOTHER SECTION AND LEAVING A SMART @SS ANSWER AND HIDING E-MAILS AND SUCH! YOU KNOW WHAT, THERE SHOULD ONLY BE A BUTTON FOR THUMBS UP, BECAUSE THAT GIVES INCENTIVE NOT NEGATIVE VIBES, I HAVE NOTICE SOMETIME TOO WHEN I HAVE A LOT OF THUMBS UP, SOME JERK JUST HAS TO COME ALONG AND P#SS ON MY PARADE...IT DOEN'T BOTHER ME ENOUGH POST A QUESTION ABOUT IT THOUGH..
BUT I DO UNDERSTAND WHERE YOU'RE COMING FROM FOOL4, IT CAN KINDA GET UNDER YOUR SKIN SOMETIMES.

if the answer is obviously wrong or the response was way rude, I give a thumbs down.

I don't usually give a thumbs down or up....it isn't as though my opinion should matter to the answerer...they don't even know me, so why bother with expressing my displeasure or satisfaction?

Its how they answer the question. If they are on here just to be little smart-mouths, then they get a thumbs down. They ususally only get it when they diserve it.

I only give thumbs down for extremely inappropriate stuff. Like if someone has "Country sucks" or something along those lines as their answer, then they get a thumbs down from me.

I thumbs up if the answer is correct (as in a song title / artist question), or if I agree with them. I won't even answer a question if someone has already given my answer. I just give that person a thumbs up, and move on to the next question.

i would never give a thumbs down in this category(maybe in politics). i give thumbs up to those that seem to have an honest recollection of the posed question. 1st correct answer carries a lot of weight, also. if it's a question that calls for an opinion, instead of a fact, then i go with my personal tastes i.e., who's the "best ever.......? if i agree, a thumbs up, but never a thumbs down. (actually, i prefer a thumbs down to my Q's rather than no response)

most folks do thumbs down when a wrong or rude answer

IF THE ANSWER IS WRONG, RUDE, DUMB OR PLAIN "NOT THE ANSWER" THEN I GIVE A THUMBS DOWN. OTHERWISE IT'S A THUMBS UP BABY!

--I HATE THE ANSWERS IDK OR 2PTS FOR ME...IF YOUR OUT FOR JUST THE POINTS..GET A LIFE!

I ONLY use the thumbs down for blatantly obnoxious, rude or irrelevant remarks. Clear and simply; those are the only times I feel it is necessary to use it. Opinions are opinions; never right or wrong unless they are being mean and rude. Wrong answers are just wrong answers, it doesn't mean that the person posted it did not think it might have been correct; after all, they did not know it was wrong or they would not have tried to answer.

I use the thumbs up for a correct answer if I know it was the correct answer and if I do that, I give it to everyone with the correct answer across the board no matter who they are. (again, the exception is if they are rude - they can be both rude and correct...lol) or if the answer gives me additional information that I did not know so I give them a thumbs up for adding to my knowledge base.

Good Question Tommy, I'd like to know myself. I have answered some questions before then come back to check the answer and find out I have about 3 or more thumbs down and everyone else has thumbs up. I think it's just someone who does not like my comments. Why? I have no idea. If I said something to offend them..They can easily email me. Now I know thumbs up or down doesn't affect your point system so i just shrug it off. I have given thumbs down to some people but mainly in the R&S category, their are some people in their that make Un-Godly comments about christ and the reason i do that is because it hides their comments where I wont have to read them again.

If it is a disrespectful answer or just plain wrong, then I will give it a thumbs down.

I think that people sometimes don't like the answer, or they think the answer is wrong. I think that everybody has their own idea about a country singer and where they think he comes from. For example: Keith Whitley came from Sandy Hook, Ky., his mom Fay was an editor for the newspaper, he had a brother that died before he did in a motorcycle crash his name was Randy Whitley, his dad's name was Elmer he died a couple years before Keith Died. Most people don't know that and if you told them that they would think that you didn't know what you were talking about. But I do know all of this because he once lived about 20 mile from me and I have knew of him all my life, he was only a year and a half older than me.

In what is called "country music" is nothing but the "easy listening pop" of the 70's.So if a "classic country fan" answers the "modern" country fan thumbs down the answer.
I have been listening to country music since '58 or '59 and there is no truer country music that the classic country from the 50's-60's -70's the newer country is a big head ache and the newer fans will thumb down our classic answers.
Here's thumbs up for your question.

I don't generally give thumbs down unless the answerer is rude or egotistical. I do sometimes give a thumbs down to a wrong answer, but I generally just add a correction to my own answer. Like I did on the Buck Owens question the other day where you answered below me and agreed with my answer. Someone said Buck did a version of Ringo's "They're going to put me in the movies". I answered that it was called Act Naturally, and that Ringo covered Buck's song. No thumbs down. If I'm in a bad mood, I have to admit to occasionally giving thumbs down to repetitious answers. For example, someone might ask "Who did King Of The Road?". After the third or fourth Roger Miller, I might give thumbs down to the rest. Why do 64 people answer a question that has already been answered correctly? I see the right answer and move on. What amazes me is the thumbs down on opinions. If you ask for favorite Hank Williams song, I might say Kawliga, Okie might say Lovesick Blues, MillersCave might say Honky Tonkin', and Tex, Kathleen, and Druski might all say something else. Then someone comes along and give thumbs down-childish.

P.S.-had a slight delay on this end, but your cds went out yesterday. Let me know when you get them.
