People say it cuz they feel as though they need to let the world know. Anybody who constantly claims they're "hood" and/or "gangsta" are all just soft to me. Too much talkin can get you offed, 'gangsta'...

Being "hood" and "gangsta" have become popular catch phrases. It's like being "hood" or "gangsta" is like being "down" I'm sure there is alot of people from the "hood" that don't want to live there, but I'm sure most of the people have no choice. I don't know, I'm not from a poor neighborhood, so I wouldn't know what it's like to live there.
