The song was written by the Bee Gees for the movie.
There are (2) TWO versions on the 'SNF' soundtrack.
One by the Bee Gees, which was a top ten hit.
One by The Tavares, which was a top ten hit, as well.
So they are BOTH correct ;P
My proof is I was there when the movie first played.
I have the soundtrack on 8-track, cassette, vinyl AND cd...lol

It was definately the Bee Gees. Some great music in that movie.
Yup. Definitely the BeeGees. Great song, before everyone started trying to remake it. The original is always the best hands down!!
