Eminem is a complete lyrical monster. With 3 consecutive classics, he carried Hip-hop on his back during his run. He's just witty and comes out with high energy as well, plus he murdered Jay-Z on Renegade, who I'm going into in the next paragraph. However, he's not the same as he used to be, especially after signing Fiddy. Encore is the perfect example that he's losing it. Speaking of Jay-Z...
Jay-Z is good, probably the most consistent out of the rest of the three, along with 3 classics (soon to be 4 with American Gangster). However, he doesn't relate to the average Joe.
Lil' Wayne is good if he doesn't use ghostwriters, but he's pretty witty as well, even if it doesn't makes sense. Although he was in the game since he was 13, he never became witty until recently.
Chamillionaire, he's in a different league. The Mixtape Messiah is very good. He has the best storytelling ability out of the other 3 (listen to Think I'm Crazy in The Sound of Revenge). Cop out Ultimate Victory, and you'll realize that he can spit fire without cussing, something that the other three fails at miserably.
But personally, out of all of them, Eminem is the best lyricist, with Chamillionaire knocking at his door if he keeps it up.

jay z by far. his catalague is the best and he can rip any verse. em has his moments but alot of his stuff is wack. when biggie gives you props as saying jay is the only rapper to intimidate him behind the mic then u know ur on top

I gotta say eminem because basically his lyrics are what made him. Jay -Z is just a east coast rapper. Im in Texas and have been south and the west my whole life and never heard anybody bump a jay-z album. Lil wayne is second. Hes the best all around "rapper" of the group

Eminem in my opinion...jay is next then cham..then wayne. jay-z is great but ive always been an eminem fan, nas is the best though but out these four id have to go with eminem, because the way he puts words together are just sick...he even had a better verse than jay z on Renegade. and that was jay z's song.

Lil Wayne has really stepped it up,the older he gets the better(don't know if the thanks goes to gillie the kid) but young dude is doing it . i have much love for Em and Jay-z,Chamillionaire is a good one too. people been sleeping on him ,but his first album was pretty good.

first of all jay-z has been over rated ever since the reasonable doubt album and now his time is up,his music is whack now and should of stayed retired, so i say eminem hands down because he has came a long way from making it in the game. some of jay's music is cool but not all of that and most people from the east coast always say that he's the best lyricist or whatever but in fact he's not, he a good rapper but not the best ever.
Eminem, Jay Z has some good stuff too .. But Em puts more emotion in his lyrics as well as makes them more fun, and yeah ; agreed in Renegade, Em had a better verse ..

Chamillionaire-IMO HE IS THE MOST OVERATED RAPPER IN THE BUISNESS.

If it was totally based on originality then I'd have to say Wayne, but since Jay is good at reproducing rhymes that have already been spit...(MOST OF BIG'S SHYT) then of course he'd be the best right now, at least out of the ones you choose to compare him with. However, that NEW WAYNE the Carter 3 is going to be something RIDICULOUS!
