Why is EVERYONE obsessed with Lil Wayne?!
Question: I've been a fan ever since he was rapping "wabbity wabbity drop drop drop it like its hot"; lmao. But for real, how can you call this dude the "best rapper alive". Nas/Jay would MERK this dude. He's nice on A LOT of tracks, but half the time he doesn't even rap about stuff that makes sense, it's just a play on words.... kinda what I like to call Kindergarden Rap (kindergardeners rap like this).

Im just gonna agree with you...its just the fact that he is POPular right now...no competition...and the watered down standards of lyrics now a days...I guess Wayne would be the best compared to the likes of Soulja Boy and Hurricane Chris

i hate lil wayne. i don't think he has talent at all, give me a mic and i'll sing some of his songs better than him...and to top it all off, his looks don't even help him out at all, he looks like a bird.

Lil Wayne is not even in the top 20 best rappers alive. Jay would and probbally will run circles around this guy. what I mean by will is that Weezy claimed himself the best rapper ever a few weeks ago. Jay dissed him on a radio show, and basically said that he was mad at him. I don't know about any beef though because G-Unit has dissed him like 87 times now and Wayne won't say anything back.

I wouldnt say Im "obsessed". I would say I really enjoy listening to him. HIS FLOW IS VERY VERY DIFFERENT EVERYTIME YOU HEAR HIM IN SONGS" His lyrical style is different. He doesnt rap about the same sh*t all the time, like 50cent who kept rapping about how he got shot 9 times, over and over and over and dumba$$3s like him. WHy? Dont ask me. But Lil Wayne is different and he's definately a big part of Hip Hop right now, especially him coming from the south. Southern rappers arent lyrically inclined like Lil WAyne is, well besides TI but different style...get it?

yea dude, I think me and you are kinda in the same boat. I've bought almost everyone of weezys mainstream albums (no mixtapes) and have been one of his biggest fans for years even when people where saying he was wack back in the early 2000's. I also think dude gots skills but I could probably name 5 rappers easily that are still alive that would hand him his lyrics on a plate. I think the reason everyone is on his jock is because, like it or not, he's everywhere on the radio. Most of these people that are in love with him aren't real fans of hip hop they just love the trash played on the radio, therefore they love him. SAD BUT TRUE!
