Saw them back in 1976 during the Hotel California tour for the first time.
Saw them in a small venue in Dallas 5 years ago. They did a high dollar fund raiser for the environment. Sold fewer tickets, higher cost, intimate evening. One of the best musical experiences of my life.
Then saw Glenn Frey also perform similarly at a country club for fund raising purposes.
If you are hard core Eagles fan like me--Spend the money for the small venue.
You will NOT regret it.
Not on a country show. I remember when Glenn Frey specifically poo-pooed the idea of "Desperado" being called a "cowboy record." Now he wants to be a "country singer?" Make up your mind, Glenn.
But, as for their new album, I think they do a good version of J.D. Souther's "How Long."
Didn't catch this show, but I heard 'em sing live here in New Mexico during their Hell Freezes Over tour. Well worth the ticket money, I can certainly tell you that. One of the finest shows I've been to.
