First of all let me state, I do know that Creed is not an official Christian band, I've
read many things on it.
I do believe this song has been God related. I'm here to give my complete opinion.

Let me deal with the first paragraph.

He's calling for help, finding himself in a place he can't escape. He expresses this as a
"road to nowhere."
The use of thunder in its context is the equivalent to the voice of God; and the writer is
speaking back to him, or truing to.
"But I’m down to my last breath" this tells me he’s about to give up.

Second Paragraph

"Hold me now" It's simple he wants to be held, as a child scared wanting to be held by his
mother. This is also spoken as a prayer, I know this because he’s on his last breath.
"Six feet from the edge" He’s at a point in his life where he sees only one-way out. death.
"Six feet doesn't seem that far down" A grave is six feet under, he’s not afraid of death.

Third paragraph

He’s reflecting on his life, looking at the mistakes he has made.
He says, "I thought I found the road to somewhere in his grace." This reference to road
Goes back to the first paragraph where we learn that the road is a road to nowhere.
There’s no question that "In his grace" means in Gods grace.
Now he’s crying out to heaven to save him, his soul.
He now is turning to Christ for help. To hold him as a father or mother would.

Forth paragraph

Same as second

Fifth Paragraph

"Sad eyes follow me" He means the apathy he’s getting from mankind.
He believes there’s something left for him in this life.
"So please come stay with me" he’s asking Christ to enter his life and show him purpose.
"Cause I still believe there's something left for you and me" Again he knows his life has
Some purpose and with the grace of God he will accomplish it.

Sixth paragraph

Simple he’s thinking.

The real question is, what were you doing buying a Creed CD?
