i agree with so_sincerious I Feelin pretty much everything on the album The album starts off with a wicked intro that really sets the "dark cinematic" mood for the rest of the album, then it kicks in with 2 great tracks: "Pray" & "American Dreamin". The Lil' Wayne featured Hello Brooklyn is up next and it's a wonderful bass heavy joint sampling AD Rock for the hook. I normally hate Lil' Wayne with a passion but on this joint I don't mind him at all, he's actually pretty cool. The album continues with 2 more great tracks "No Hook" & "Roc Boys" with Jay really spitting his *** off. Tracks 7 to 9 are the low point of the album, but these 3 individual songs are dope on their own. "I Know" is tigth as f*ck production-wise. The ending of the album is all flames with dope collaborations with both Nas & Beanie Sigel and also the two standouts "Say Hello" & "Fallin". Both bonus tracks are tigth too making this one of the most consistant Jay-Z albums, without any weak songs. One of the things that's surprising is that if you look at the production credits you will see no signs of Kanye West. Yeah that's rigth the most popular rapper/producer of the moment is not on this album. Instead you have 6 beats by P. Diddy! Quite a surprising move but it's actually a good one cause Puff comes up with some of the best beats on the album. Even Jermaine Dupri comes up with a banger, what the hell? The production is tigth and it doesn't matter who did it. "American Gangster" marks the return of Jay-Z as one of the best rappers around, just like back in the days. While it's not his best album, it's just really great anyhow. If you're a fan of Jay-Z there is no doubt that you will enjoy this album, he surprised me at a time that I was ready to dismiss him. Good job Jigga!

haha i just deleted the album off my computer. But i liked ignorant ****, pray, fallen and no hook. Success was decent, but like BR, it was a little disappointing.
