Question: Some people say that some rappers are "bad" rappers.
When are rappers considered "bad" rappers? I don't mean "bad" as having an attitude problem or something like that. I mean "bad" as a technical thing. What could be "bad" rappers doing wrong? All raps sound the same to me anyway.

Technically a 'bad' rapper is one who has no mic presence, bad flow, mediocre delivery, basic rhyme scheme in all of their songs (though this doesn't necessarily make you bad)..in otherwise bad or talentless.
But a lot of people say a rapper is bad when they talk about the same thing i.e. money, cars, girls, bling etc. Or they make up a stupid dance that becomes the latest fad, and then they become a one hit wonder six months later. Basically that's when you're a sellout.
When they are saying meaningless lyrics.
Bad rappers are when they only sing about the same thing. "Oh, I was poor in the hood." "I hate the women in my club."
That is garbage. Stay away from rap... Instead, check out REGGAETON... The latin rap, which is great.
Stumbling over the words would be the biggest no-no. And after that, rapping about stupid things or not having a lot of very articulate things to say would be considered very bad.

'wrebaza' ... reggeaeton is just a rip-off of rap and Jamaican reggae. Maybe more people would listen to it if they sang in English!!!!!
All rap cannot be considered music. It cannot be considered good or bad. Listenig to it is a sure sign of bad taste.

I think the real question is, why does everyone on YA hate rappers so much? Well I happen to know the answer!!! It's because all the rap that YOU hear is mainstream rap... the stuff on MTV, MTV2 and on the radio. Rap music can be beautiful, moving and life-changing. Try listening to some underground rap... Atmosphere is really good. Maybe not "life-changing" but definitely honest, REAL, and talented. Unfortunately, what's popular right now is half naked women, huge jewelry, lots of nice cars, and bling in your mouth... that's what people want to see and that's what they want to hear about. That's why "underground" is underground! They're not rapping about all that crap... they don't care about being in the public eye. It's about the music... NOT the money. It should always be about the music...

let's c. a rapper is a bad rapper when their lyrics are meaningless, they have no rythm or rhyme in their lyrics and finally when they present a bad image to the public.

Rappers,who be rapping about the same ol same ol and also ones flows sound like anybody off the street could have came up with (etc.Soulja boy) man i hate him! His flows are catchy but still sorry.Rap isnt bad most just telling what they have seen or experience,and some ppl think its bad.But thats the reality that some ppl see everyday.Dont hate the rappers,do something about the community.There nothing but narrators (the good ones Lauyren Hill,Tupac,Biggie and etc.) If u dont like it ,then u just dont like it.
If all raps sound the same to you, it's because you aren't listening, but rather just hearing the music.
Soulja Boy is a horrible rapper, with no lyrical presence, but he's a good entertainer.
Common is a great rapper, but not a great entertainer.
If you have horrible lyrics, you are a bad rapper. If you have nothing of any substance AT ALL, you are a bad rapper.
If you have something to bring to the table, you're good at least for that album.
