What is the best instrument to learn for a complete beginner?!

Question: I don't really have any musical experience, but I would love to be able to play some sort of music. I want to learn a real instrument( by that I mean, I dont want a tamborine or triangle). I am a visual style learner, so what do you think would be the best instrument to pick up?

guitar dude...it starts out kinda slow, repedative, and a little boring but if you keep with it and develop calasus (dont know how to spell it) then you can really get going on it...also you dont need to bother learning all the notes and getting lessens. instead you can get TABs off the internet and its 100x easier to learn to read then regular guitar notes. i tought my self and make up my own stuff when im messin around all from just getting TABs and developing my skill that way

well good luck :D

Electric gutair or acoustic. the bass gutair will be the easiest to learn.

think should be bass... as it's nt as difficult as guitar or as complicated as the drums

The easiest instrument is the recorder, it is simalar to a flute. Its really simple but produces nice music.

The piano is an excellent instrument for beginners to start with. All you really need is a piano, maybe a book, and lots of time. I taught myself how to play. I think being a visual learner, you'll learn how to play pretty fast.

guitar is just a popular instrument---not necessarily the best--piano is a good choice though.
