Waht are some war songs...?!
Question: That can i put in my PowerPoint presentation? My presentation discusses Hammurabi and Babylon and he wants an audio file. I guess any war song or freedom song will do. I wanted to do Star spangled Banner, but then I was like naw, so I need something else. Can you help me?
Thanks.

Freedom Never Cries by Five for Fighting,
Two Lights by Five for Fighting,
or War (I forget who this one's by - but read the lyrics!!)

When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again
The war songs of antiquity are chants like the war songs of the Oklahoma Pow-wows. I periodically hear war chants on the television shows aired by the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority. However, I do not know where to find stuff like that on the Internet. The public library here in Oklahoma City probably has some music CD's that I could check out but that probably will not help you. If I was in your shoes, I would probably use "Where Have All The Flowers Gone" sung by the Kingston Trio which is actually a war protest song.
Not sure what kind of mood you're going for, but you could use "Babylon" by Don McLean (the guy who sang "American Pie"). It's basically a musical version of Psalm 137:1. Here are the lyrics -
--------------------------------------...
By the waters, the waters of Babylon
We lay down and wept, and wept, for thee Zion
We remember thee, remember thee, remember thee Zion
(repeated numerous times)
--------------------------------------...
Also, Bob Dylan did a great anti-war song called "Masters of War", but I'm not sure if it would fit in your presentation or not. The lyrics discuss modern war, so it may not fit a presentation on an ancient war.
