Question on Chord Progression for "Take Five"?!

Question: I'm learning the bass part for "Take Five" by Paul Desmond and am having a tough time learning the chord progression for the "B". The first part is easy - Dm A (repeat 8 times) LOL.

| Bb C7 | Am Dm | Gm C7 | F F7 |
| Bb C7 | Am Dm | Gm C7 | Em A7

Any hints or tricks to memorize this progression?

Hmm, I'd do it by thinking about it like this:

You know it starts on Bb, then up a step.
Then it's a iii-vi-ii-V7-I, which should be an easy sequence for you on bass.

Then you take that I chord, it becomes the dominant to take you back to the Bb again.

This time, after the whole step up, it's the iii-vi-ii-V7

and then a ii-V7 in the key of Dmi, bringing you back to the A section.

So really, just remember that the B section starts on Bb, up a whole step, circle of 5ths around, the I becomes the five of the Bb (or just don't even think about that part and just repeat the same phrase)
but the second time through, think about where you are heading which is back to Dmi.

notice the pattern in the 2nd and 3rd
am dm
then down one step
gm c7
then down again to the F

the bass part makes like a circular pattern on the fretboard, look for those circles.
