Answers: the beatles

they changed the music world, and people are still inspired by their music. even though it's been 40 years.

Elvis

Juhadist Priest And Black Sabbath

It always comes back to the Beatles, friend.

The Beatles, hands down.

Gotta be the Beatles and the Stones.

The Beatles, without a doubt. They opened a lot of doors and they made rock and roll acceptable. It wasn't only the teens that felt the rush of Beatlemania, it was their parents too. Rock bands also learned what NOT to do, like say they were more popular than God/Jesus. All in all, the Beatles were very influencial and a lot of rock bands today say they were inspired by the Beatles.

Liberace.

Beatles.

They were one of the biggest influences on MUSIC during the 70's and 60's. They brought New Ideas and Ideas in their music and revolutionized The Idea of Rock & roll.

They marked there career with controversy, chart topping hits, unique lyrics and calls for change.

Thier experimentation lead to different genres, you can think of the beatles as the roots of a tree, and everything today from the soundscapes of Sigur ros, to the Grundge bands like soundgarden, to even the punks bands, the hard rock bands, underground or mainstream alike.

The Beatles used unique sounds in their music; these sounds are most dramatically seen in the album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band[3]", released in 1967. They used many studio effects including, reverberation, echoes, and reverse tape effects. Some of the sounds on the album even came from recordings of a fair ground organ, which were spliced and inserted into the album. All these things were rarely used by bands in the 1960's, but none the less, the Beatles experimented with the sounds and had made great success. The Beatles are also known for incorporating drug references into there works of music. "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" is the most known song with this attribute. The song describes many odd "fantasy", or "dream like" scenes. Many people believe the song describes hallucinations resulting from consumption of LSD, the initials of the song.

You can Give some credit to the rolling stones and beach boys, but they can never have the impact the beatles had.

Beatles did Pop, Hard rock, they even used sitars, things that seemed insane to bring to the music, where rolling stones and beach boys played it alot more safe in their music.

It's always gonna be the Beatles, even a hundred years from now.

Lots of great bands but the Beatles win hands down....A great compliment was when a friend of mine who plays for the Boston Symphony Orchestra and they were going to do a Beatles music concert. He was not that interested until he looked at the music. He told me the arrangements were very impressive and said that the Beatles were not just song writers but composers

I was gonna say Kiss because of the many firsts that this band done and the inlfuences they had on other bands. But Kiss was clearly influenced by the Beatles. If it weren't for the Beatles, quartets would still be in the barber shop.

The Beatles are the obvious answer, like them or not.

Not only have they made an impact on rock and roll, but as with Elvis and a couple other people and bands, they've made a great impact on popular culture.

the beatles and led zeppelin

There are a lot of bands that have had an impact on Rock-n-Roll over the past 60 years, but I think it is safe to say that The Beatles had the largest impact overall. Heck, we still love The Beatles, and it's been 40 years. That's gotta stand for something.

I would say Buddy Holly and the Crickets, because they were the first rock and roll band. Plus, they were the first band to write their own songs. Plus, the Beatles considered Holly a major influence.

Oh poop on the Beatles. They hardly did anything that hadn't been done before. They were a good pop group that got ridiculously popular, and apparently that makes it alright to say thet invented everything they did. Pop, psychedelic, gibberish lyrics, concept albums, all of these existed before the Beatles did it.

How 'bout Chuck Berry? There's a man who had some influence. Or Elvis or Jerry Lee Louis? They at least contributed some new dance moves and attitude. How about the 13th Floor Elevators who did psychedelic music before the Beatles? How about the Velvet Underground who contributed all sorts of new experimental ideas on what music could be? How about Iggy Pop who redefined what a front man for a rock band could do? How about the Ramones who invented a genre and played like hadn't been heard before? Or the Saints or Sex Pistols who invented a very similar style independently?

Those are all very signifigant.

I am so so dreadfully sick of The Beatles.
Oh golly gee what an Impact they had gee whiz bang!
They were 75% Fluff People!...F-L-U-F-F!
I'm sorry but I think they get way too much credit. If the Stones and Zeppelin don't have 90% as much influence I'll eat my hat...........with no salt. The only albums they put out I can even stand that have any backbone to them at all from Rubber Soul on and even all of them are full of dreck.

I'm with Dan...poop great word for it.

AMEN Shotfire!

Many band have had a huge impact over the years. The Beatles were influential without a doubt, but the band that has played the biggest impact I feel is Deep Purple.

LED ZEPPELIN!

Elvis who's the king of rock and roll, Roy Orbison, The Hollies, Neil Diamond, and The Righteous Brothers.

Elvis
The Who
Ramones
Iggy Pop
Sex Pistols
Mike Ness
