Are ukulele's supposed to use only nylon strings or metal stings like guirar!
Question: i bougth a ukulele online and it says nylon strings included i was just woundeirng are nylon strings the only string a ukulele supposed to use or what plz help me with my string sitution ....thanks

My understanding is that most ukuleles are not designed to be strung with steel strings; the neck is not strong enough and will eventually warp with the higher tension necessary to bring metal strings into tune. Plus, nylon strings more resemble the sound that the traditional gut strings gave to the ukulele.
